2012-13 Arts Season
The annual Victoria School arts season features one of the busiest production calendars in the city of Edmonton. The events on stage and in galleries showcase student performance and visual art work from across the K-12 curriculum. From showcases of class work and auditioned performance ensembles to full scale theatre, dance and music productions, the students' work is always challenging, diverse, highly focused and of an exceptionally high standard.
Putting a season for the arts together at this school is no small task. It is extremely important that we consider the whole range of our students each year and balance new opportunities with those already been experienced. The kinds of showcasing and performing possibilities must provide for growth, challenge and reinforcement of the skills, attitudes and behaviours of our Arts students.
It is also central to our philosophy that all students and families appreciate that the real "Mainstage" is what happens every day in every classroom. In fact, this is where students do far more to present themselves as ready to take on larger challenges by their commitment to skill development and work ethic.
